Boyd Nursing and Rehabilitation would like to recognize the remarkable recovery of our resident, Bonnie Fletcher!

Bonnie was admitted in January following an extensive and complicated hospitalization involving a cardiac event and a stroke that caused significant functional deficits, weakness, balance, and mobility deficits, compounded by cognitive impairment. When Bonnie began her rehab journey at Boyd Nursing, she was at totally dependent level for assistance. Fortunately, she had a strong will to recover despite all her obstacles. Over the next three months, she received physical and occupational therapy to regain her mobility and independence with self-care activities. She has continued to receive therapy services to improve her executive cognitive skills for money management, medication management, meal prep, and home safety. We are so excited to report that Bonnie recently completed a successful home visit, and we are assisting her with planning her discharge home and to community living.
